Group classes are on hold at this time due to Covid-19 and are expected to resume Summer 2021.

Beginner Puppy

This course is for puppies between 10 weeks and 5 months with little to no prior training. Puppies will begin to learn foundational skills and manners, while encouraging socialization and appropriate play. Behaviors taught include sit, down, stay, come, touch (hand target), look, heel, introduction to loose leash walking, and place (mat work). Martingale collars, Y front or H front harnesses and 4 or 6 foot nylon, leather, or biothane leashes are required, retractable leashes are not permitted.

Advanced Puppy

This course is designed for puppies between 16 weeks and 6 months who have completed a prior training course. Puppies will begin working on proofing their skills and expanding on their reliability. Emphasis will be placed on proofing stays, loose leash walking, recalls, and response time to sit and down. Martingale collars, Y front or H front harnesses and 4 or 6 foot nylon, leather, or biothane leashes are required, retractable leashes are not permitted.

Beginner Adult

This course is designed for adult dogs over 6 months old who have not yet attended training courses, or who need additional assistance learning basic cues. Emphasis is placed on basic manners, such as sit, down, look, touch (hand target), stay, come, place, and loose leash walking. Martingale collars, Y front or H front harnesses and 4 or 6 foot nylon, leather, or biothane leashes are required, retractable leashes are not permitted.

Intermediate Adult

This course is designed for adult dogs over 6 months old who have attended at least one prior course (eg. beginner puppy or beginner adult). Dogs entering this class should have an understanding of cues such as sit, down, stay, come, and loose leash walking. Emphasis is placed on proofing skills, including increasing the duration and distance for stays, duration of loose leash walking, and reliability of sit and down. Martingale collars, Y front or H front harnesses and 4, 6 or 10 foot nylon, leather, or biothane leashes are required, retractable leashes are not permitted.


Advanced Adult

This course is designed for dogs who have completed intermediate adult or advanced puppy courses, who wish to continue perfecting their essential life skills and manners. Emphasis is placed on consistency with high levels of distractions. This class will include reliability games. Dogs will be exposed to sound, scent, and visual distractions. Each week will focus on a different life skill. Martingale collars, Y front or H front harnesses and 4, 6 or 10 foot nylon, leather, or biothane leashes are required, retractable leashes are not permitted.

Canine Good Citizen

This class is designed for dogs with a solid understanding of basic commands who may or may not have completed prior training courses seeking the AKC Canine Good Citizen certification or title. Emphasis will be placed on consistency and reliability in the ten test items as set by the AKC. CGCA and CGCU tests may be arranged separately with the trainer.

Reliability Games

This course is designed as a short, engaging course for continuing reliability games and engagement with your dog. This course runs for 4 weeks. All dogs in this course should be proficient in basic skills such as sit, down, stay, come, and loose leash walking.
